Vecina OKC Grand Opening

Founded by Chef James Fox, Vecina has garnered significant acclaim since its inception in Phoenix, Arizona. Chef Fox, a James Beard Award nominee, is renowned for his creative approach to Latin American flavors, utilizing a variety of spices, chiles, and sourcing local ingredients to craft a consistently rotating seasonal menu.  The Phoenix location has been praised for its inventive dishes and exceptional dining experience, with Phoenix New Times noting, "Vecina is the kind of restaurant you always wish Phoenix had — and now does."

The Oklahoma City establishment continues this tradition, offering a diverse menu ranging from small plates to larger format dishes, all designed with sharing in mind. Local collaborations on the menu include baked goods from The Harvey Bakery & Lupita’s Taqueria. The bar program features a curated selection of distinctive beers, wines, and handcrafted cocktails, complementing the culinary offerings. The wine by-the-glass offerings are each natural, biodynamic, vegan, organic & environmentally conscience. The modern, inviting atmosphere was brought to life by Oklahoma City artist Carlos Barboza, who painted a wall-to-wall mural that radiates vibrant color and warmth throughout dining room area. Vecina is suitable for various occasions, from special celebrations to casual weekday dinners or afternoon drinks.

Vecina is coming to Oklahoma City in partnership with Provision Concepts. This marks the third collaboration between Chef Fox and Provision Concepts, with Vecina as the latest addition alongside Riserva and Culprits. This partnership brings together local expertise and Vecina's unique culinary vision to create a dining destination that reflects the dynamic spirit and evolving palate of Oklahoma City.
